EXTREME COLD ALERT

Sub-zero temperatures and dangerous wind chills are expected to sweep across the state Monday-Wednesday of this week (January 21-22, 2025). Residents should try to limit exposure to the elements as much as possible. The Monroe County Health Department - Michigan has compiled a list of warming centers available throughout the county.

Those in the city include:

Dorsch Memorial Branch Library
Monroe Family YMCA
Opportunity Center at the ALCC
Salvation Army Campus of Hope

The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday may effect Monday hours at the above locations.
The Navarre Library is currently under construction and NOT open to the public.
